Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of the services provided by Legacy Destinations & DMC. By booking a service with us, you agree to the following terms:

1. Booking and Confirmation

1.1. All bookings are subject to availability and will only be confirmed and secured upon receipt of 15% deposit or full payment, as specified at the time of booking.
1.2. Any special requests (e.g., room type, meal preferences) must be communicated at the time of booking and cannot be guaranteed but will be forwarded to the supplier and we will communicate about the availability to you also.

2. Payments

2.1. A deposit of 15% of the total cost is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
2.2. The balance must be paid 6 weeks before the commencement of the safari. Bookings made within 6 weeks of the tour start dates should be paid in full.
2.3. Failure to pay the full balance on time may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

3.1. Cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to the following charges:

  • 61 & more days before the start of safari: Loss of Deposit
  • 60 to 45 days before: 25% of the deposit
  • 44 to 29 days before: 60% of the deposit
  • 28 to 7 days before: 90% of the deposit
  • Less than 7 days: 100% of the total booking cost.

3.2. No refunds will be given for early departures, unused services, or no-shows.

4. Changes and Amendments

4.1. Any amendments to a booking must be requested in writing and may be subject to availability and additional charges.
4.2. Legacy Destinations & DMC reserves the right to make minor changes to your itinerary or service due to operational requirements (which will be communicated to you whenever necessary).

5. Liability

5.1. Legacy Destinations & DMC acts as an agent for third-party suppliers (e.g., hotels, airlines, transport companies) and is not responsible for any act or omission of these suppliers. 5.2. We shall not be liable for any personal injury, loss, damage, or expenses arising from services provided by third parties or for any delays, cancellations, or other issues beyond our control.

6. Travel Insurance

6.1. We strongly recommend that all clients obtain adequate travel insurance to cover medical expenses, personal liability, and any unforeseen circumstances, including cancellations and interruptions.

7. Passports, Visas, and Health Requirements

7.1. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have valid passports, visas, and any necessary vaccinations or health documentation required for the destination.

8. Force Majeure

8.1. Legacy Destinations & DMC is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or government restrictions.
If Legacy Destinations & DMC is affected by force majeure it shall be entitled to, and may at its sole and absolute discretion, vary or cancel any reservations or arrangement in relation to the visits. Payment of any refund by Legacy Destinations to you as result of the non-performance of any company shall use its reasonable endeavors to reimburse you where possible. However, Legacy Destinations shall be entitled to deduct from any refund recoverable to the reasonable actual and potential costs to the company of the force majeure.

9. Images and Marketing

9.1. Legacy Destinations reserves the right to use any photographs and videos taken during tours for marketing or any other advertising material. The client hereby gives consent to use such photographs and authorizes the Company to retain copyright for these photographs and such material.
