Overview
This safari takes you to the Southern part of Kenya consisting iconic destinations in East Africa. Amboseli National Park has a good view of the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa. Large herds of elephants graze freely in the vast park. Later, head down to the Great Rift Valley lakes to view different species of birds including flamingos. If you are lucky, you’ll also spot the endangered black and white rhinos. You will then proceed to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve in search of the Big Five and the thousands of other wildlife.

Itinerary
Depart in the early morning from your hotel in Nairobi or the airport. Drive through Maasai land to Amboseli National Park. The park and surrounding game reserve cover 1,260 square miles and are mostly arid woodland with a series of swamps and lakes that provide water supply to the wildlife all year round. Amboseli sits in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro and is known for its large elephant population and other big game that is attracted to the area by underground springs fed from Mt. Kilimanjaro.
You will arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge followed by a game drive. The following day will also be spent in search of Amboseli's famous elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and different species of birds. With luck, Mt. Kilimanjaro will be in the background in some photos. Later, you will proceed to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for dinner followed by overnight.
After an early breakfast, you will depart from Amboseli National Park passing via the outskirts of Nairobi. Have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley and admire the scenic view of the escarpment. You then proceed to Lake Naivasha where you will arrive for lunch at Crater Lake Camp. Later, you will proceed for an hour’s boat ride where you have a chance of seeing hippos and different species of birds. Return for dinner and overnight at Crater Lake Camp.
After breakfast, you will proceed for a guided walk to explore crater lake to explore the volcanic Crater Lake where you will have a chance to spot Colobus Monkey, giraffe, buffalo, gazelles, zebra not forgetting a chance to spot different species of birds then continue with your safari to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will arrive for lunch at the lodge followed by game drive in search of rhino, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, lion, etc. You will also have a chance to explore the shores of Lake Nakuru and with luck, you might spot flamingos. You will enjoy later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will continue with your journey via Narok town and proceed to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's premier game reserve. The Mara is actually the Northern portion of the great plain’s ecosystem and in neighboring Tanzania, it's called the Serengeti. It is home to the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant), as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, vast herds of plains antelope and numerous other wildlife. You will arrive in time for lunch. Later, you will proceed for a game drive before you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will proceed for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. You will spend the whole day exploring the expansive Greater Mara and the Mara triangle Game Reserve in search of elephant, zebra, wildebeest, rhino, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard and other plains game. Visit the Mara River where you have a chance to see hippo and crocodile basking by the riverbanks. If you are traveling in the months of July through to September, you also have an opportunity to witness the wildebeest migration.
After breakfast, you will have the option of visiting the Maasai cultural village at an extra cost. You will then depart from Masai Mara and proceed to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey connections.
